Matzah-rella Sticks

Occasionally I come up with puns that are, shall we say, executable? And although it may take me years to follow through on them, eventually I do. I’m not sure how many pesaschs have passed over without these, but finally! Here they are:

Not much to look at, but SO tasty. They are ridiculously easy to make, especially if you go the string cheese route. Just cut up some string cheeses, dip them in a beaten egg mixture, and roll them around in finely crushed matzah. (The egg helps the matzah stick on.) Drop them in a big vat of heated oil for 30 seconds, then pull ‘em out.
That’s it! (Unless you are silly like me and try to extract the sticks with a plastic spoon, in which case this recipe includes three extra steps: replace frying oil, find a metal spoon, and apologize to roommate.)

These sticks really don’t taste any different from the regular version, and if they look uglier, that’s more on me than the matzah.
They taste best when made with friends*!

* Where made means “in the company of”, not “out of”, you silly people.
