O frabjous weekend

Another year, another Mystery Hunt. This iteration was especially nice. For the first time I was able to finish the hunt.

I appreciate how much care this year’s writing team took to make the hunt fun for smaller teams, even though I’m on a larger team myself. It was just very well put together - clean puzzles, whimsical theme, beautiful art.
Continuing my haphazard collection of puzzles from previous years, here are my favorites. I didn’t come across any puzzles that I thought were exceptionally well constructed, but there were a number that I enjoyed for their flavor, namely:
You’ve Got Some Nerve - I and a few teammates knocked this one out in about twenty minutes, which was kind of a shame, because I enjoyed it enough to work on it for hours. Still, the ease of this puzzles means I’ve been able to recommend it to my neuroscientist/psychologist friends without reservation.
Round Tripper - A fun puzzle for baseball fans. It actually reminds me a bit of the baseball puzzle I wrote for my sister’s bachelorette party, but way better constructed.
Family Ties - Another cute one. We got stuck on extraction - the time we got it (midnight) and the amount of sleep we’d gotten (zero) - might have been why.
I’ve also filed away Callooh Callay, World to try my hand at the next time I want to puzzle.
